Hrmph.

I made soup, and it's, well, not that spectacular. And there's PILES of it. I can't decide what my obligation is here -- eat the damn soup because it's food, and wasting it would be bad, not to mention the time it took me to make it; or admit that I'm not enjoying it and just dump it.

Probably I'll take it for lunch tomorrow, and see if it's any better. Or if maybe I'm just feeling unusually picky tonight. But it's sad! I'm sad.

Can it be fixed? By adding.....something? hmmm.

I just made piles of chili today, so I guess it's officially the time of year when we start cooking masses of things (I think it's some kind of winter nesting ritual). The chili turned out good though....but chili always does.

Soup sadness

I also vote for fixing it. Soup is almost always infinitely doctorable. Also its flavours develop better when it's had a chance to stand.

Tell us about the soup. We will suggest some addtions.

Add moar stock if you have the patience, dilute, and go in another direction.

Personally though, I'd just dump it on the heads of mine enemies.

What kind of soup is it? Would some curry spices perk it up?

All too true, I've made many things that were not winners. Freeze some of it in serving sized containers and eat it when you are feeling desperate. That's what I do.

Frankly it sounds like you could turn it INTO chili with not too much effort. Dilute slightly, more legumes, bump up the spicy, put it on toast. Maybe. I don't know. Every time I've made soup I've kind of disliked it; soup comes in cans or tetra paks in my world.

Also: ICON OMG. I need something similar stat.

You could turn it into instant compost and ladle it onto your plants. Plants love things like that (maybe?).
