Current NaNo total: 5708.

I am such a slow writer, y'all. Also, very easily distracted. I think it's not a good idea for me to listen to Ben Folds Five while I write, because I start dancing in my chair and stop paying attention to what I'm doing.

Well, I'm pretty sure I won't make it to 50,000 by the end of the month, but at least I managed to pass that spot this morning where I realized that I actually needed a plot.

Current random things included: a man in a bunny suit, Mr. Abigaza the mussel salesman, and tap dancing.

...

I finished watching Angels in America last night. FUCKING AWESOME. I wept and wailed at the end, not so much because it was sad right then, but because the whole thing had been so full of emotion. Fabulous acting, incredible story. I would love to see the stage play.

Today has mostly been about pretending I was writing while actually adding tags to all my entries, and getting many, many phone calls from wrong numbers. I have to stop answering the phone. It's just that I don't think I've had a phone call in the past two weeks, so I was completely startled when it rang the first time, and then it was actually for me, despite being from an unknown number. And then I thought maybe that would happen again, but not so much.

Okay! I think I'm going to go write more. I left my characters in the middle of a blackout, the poor things.

Yes....the weeping. I'm still miffed that I haven't actually seen the last few minutes (the rented DVD was broken). I don't think I missed anything - but I didn't get all of dude's final speech. What an amazing (and yeah...tres emotional) movie. The play must be awesome.

It still doesn't have anything on the weeping that was Wit. OMG did I cry. A little too close to home much? But it was so good.

Omg prepare. I may have reacted more strongly to it than the average bear....but yeah. I think you'll like it, because it's also very literary (in that the gal is an English Prof. and there's lots of references, etc). Get some tissue ready though....it almost killed me.

Also, I own it. (Haven't watched the whole thing yet - I wasn't in the right mood for it.)

Are your characters getting it on in the middle of this blackout? If so, maybe you should leave them there awhile and see what juicy plot twists develop...

Agreed, agreed, agreed about Angels in America. That movie grabbed my heart and left me speechless. Unbelievably amazing.

Oh, Angels In America! I KNOW!!!! Dude, I know. Amazing.

That's the kind of thing that I just have no words for how much I love it. How glad I am that it exists-the play and the movie/miniseries/whateveryoucallit.

I've been thinking about things like that all day, as witnessed by my recent rambling post...

Miss you!

It's in two parts (Millennium Approaches, and Perestroika), usually done over two nights, or sometimes in one long night.

I've never seen it done, but I'd loooove to. I have the libretto, and it's a great read just off the page.

I just want to say that I like your icon. Mostly because it's so incredibly seldom that I get theater references.
