I am full of bad news on a very minor scale today: the Chicago roadtrip is off (no Audra and no Min, boo), I haven't seen or talked to some friends in weeks (thus killing my August resolution), I don't have the money to take German in the fall like I thought I would, which renders the September resolution of improving my German slightly more difficult, and my hamstrings are wicked tight. I have two things on my to-do list that I cannot bring myself to do because they involve the phone (evil!), we missed The Amazing Race last night because of the RNC, and we haven't had cake at work in months.

On the plus side, it's a long weekend coming up, I'm plotting my next BPAL order, and vestra is back! Technically. She's away again tonight, and for the weekend, but I almost have a roommate again. I missed you, hon, even though I kind of also loved having the place to myself. Heh.

I think this weekend will be a good time for another Alias marathon.

I've never been. Is it fun? What do you do? We used to go to the PNE, which I think is similar, but I don't remember anything about it. I think I'd be into it, especially since it would mean seeing you!

Well, it's more fun if you're a little kid, I think. You walk around a lot. You watch people lose money at the midway. There are dogs doing tricks to disco.

If we go with starfishdude and starfishdude's cousin, they'll tell us about what used to be different and how it used to be better. :)

I'm just as happy not to go and to go wandering somewhere (the Beaches?) with you instead.

And you didn't leave a message, did you? I was screening! Someone had just called with a long, involved message for Caitlin, and I assumed it was him calling back. Also, I screen most of the time, because I'm too lazy to put the computer down in order to reach the phone.
