I am full of bad news on a very minor scale today: the Chicago roadtrip is off (no Audra and no Min, boo), I haven't seen or talked to some friends in weeks (thus killing my August resolution), I don't have the money to take German in the fall like I thought I would, which renders the September resolution of improving my German slightly more difficult, and my hamstrings are wicked tight. I have two things on my to-do list that I cannot bring myself to do because they involve the phone (evil!), we missed The Amazing Race last night because of the RNC, and we haven't had cake at work in months.

On the plus side, it's a long weekend coming up, I'm plotting my next BPAL order, and [livejournal.com profile] vestra is back! Technically. She's away again tonight, and for the weekend, but I almost have a roommate again. I missed you, hon, even though I kind of also loved having the place to myself. Heh.

I think this weekend will be a good time for another Alias marathon.

Vestra's back!!

That's too bad about your trip to Chicago -- I was looking forward to another Amazing Race style recap!

Just curious... did you get the Imp's Ear of Jack I put in the mail for you? A package I sent to Vancouver the same day as I sent yours got there yesterday. I just sent the imp wrapped in bubble wrap inside an envelope so I am a little worried about it. Let me know when you get it and if it's all still in one piece.

As long as the precious makes it out there okay, a tattered envelope is of no consequence.

I'm still not sure why I didn't like this one. It smelled like everything it promised to smell like and yet somehow it just felt all wrong. I hope you do better with it than I did.

Aw, sorry to hear about your trip. :(

I would love to do something with you this weekend, if you're free. Were you interested in going to the Ex at all? We can get passes for 7 bucks through starfishdude's work.

*hugs*

Well, it's more fun if you're a little kid, I think. You walk around a lot. You watch people lose money at the midway. There are dogs doing tricks to disco.

If we go with starfishdude and starfishdude's cousin, they'll tell us about what used to be different and how it used to be better. :)

I'm just as happy not to go and to go wandering somewhere (the Beaches?) with you instead.

It's lovely - as are you.

Tried to call you last night, but there was no answer. :|

Serves me right for not leaving a message.

I'm not home tonight either.

Sigh.

That reminds me of the dream I had that I got my BPAL order... maybe I'm psychic and it will be waiting for me when I come home!!!

The Amazing Race was pretty good - I just can't believe Christie takes it from Colin. Do you want to know what happened?

Do you mean you missed TAR in the sense of not having a tape of it? Because we haven't watched it yet at home... you could come by! We could have cake at home, on the couch! Just imagine.

The thought of sorting out the next BPAL extravaganza is making me both squeeful and exhausted. :)

Yay, I'm (sort-of) back!

Happy to be home. In honour of my first full work-less day in the city tomorrow, I'm going to buy groceries! And go to the library! And possibly buy us a phone and a lamp because all machines hate us!

I'm into BPAL anytime, dude. I'm scared to even start making a list--but I'll suck it up and do it.

And, definitely-brunch sometime. I'm here and there for the next while, but we can make it happen!

I wore your Bordello the other day and I totally loved it! It's definitely on my list. Along with about 24 others. I stayed up entirely too late last night make a BPAL shortlist--fun!
