I think I'm set - I've got Readolutions, and fitness/health resolutions, and a new set of monthly resolutions for 2004, starting with January's vow: to clean out the last few pockets of randomness in my apartment, namely the linen closet, the top of my desk, and underneath the desk. Finding anything in those piles is completely maddening.

February: Find 2 new (active) activities.

March: Try to start regular email correspondence with people who I don't see often.

April: Practice bellydancing for at least 15 minutes a day.

May: Perfect 2-3 dishes that are useful for potlucks or instant entertaining.

June: Take more initiative at work.

July: Limit TV watching to things that I actively want to see (no random surfing!).

August: Work on my German.

September: Go out more with friends.

October: Learn how to flirt.

November: Work on developing a better self image.

December: Actually send out Christmas cards instead of just thinking about it.

Plus I want to try to knock at least a couple of things off my 100 things list, although hopefully that'll happen through some of the other resolutions. Because I don't know, some of those might not be that easy. Of course, if I'd stuck to only things that I know I could do, I would have resolved to buy more DVDs and eat out more often.

How come more people don't spread their resolutions out over the year? (I do, though I haven't posted them online.) I may have to borrow your October and December resolutions; I already had March and a couple similar fitness-type things.

Conveniently, August is one of the times when there are 2-week intensive classes at the Goethe Institut. :) Not that I retained anything from the first one I took, but it might be better now...

Oh, and

*dorky double comment*

I'm thinking of doing some monthly resolutions this year but am stuck. Help?

Hee. That post was both extremely helpful and deeply guilt-trauma-inducing, at the SAME TIME.

Ah yes, resolutions...

I usually don't really make them, but these days I'm such a dorky fan of anything in the form of a list, I just couldn't help myself.

I made 10 resolutions while at a New Year's Party and kind of tipsy, so I'm scared to look at them.

And I've just made myself 10 Readolutions also, because reading is fun!

And, of course, I'm going to try and knock a few things off my 100 things to do list....

Go you with the resolutions!!

I can totally help you with the used bookstore readolution, and maybe we can have a book club with that girl formerly known as noyb. :)
