Do you ever have one of those days where you look at your life and wonder, "Is this all there is?"
For me, the life angst comes most easily when I'm buying groceries, or more specifically, when I'm trying to think about lunches for the next week. When I can't handle one more lunch of carrot sticks, red pepper and tempeh. When I start to think about all the lunches that I'm going to have to make and take to work in my lifetime. When I realize just how long that is. When I realize that everything will stay exactly the same for the REST OF MY LIFE.
AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Ok, I feel somewhat better now. But maybe next week I'll just buy lunch for a change.

Date: 2003-10-30 03:35 pm (UTC)No it won't. Nothing ever stays exactly the same. Change is the only constant in the universe. That and entropy, decay, death, taxes...
Believe me, from someone who knows, you have no idea how much your life CAN change, with or without your consent or direction.
Then you're left with the "How did I get here?" question.
