I take back every nasty thing I've ever thought or said about Rogers Cable. Not only did they did they give me a new modem that actually works (hence my being able to post this), not only did they not give me shit about being networked, the way they always threaten to do, they even sent the modem with an extremely hot man to install it. Yeow. As he lay there on the beanbag chair, waiting on hold (even their own staff get put on eternal hold - go figure), I suddenly understood exactly where the long history of repair person fantasies came from.
