It occurs to me, rewatching Season 1 Lost, that one of the reasons I don't like Charlie very much is that he often ends up accidentally doing or saying the wrong thing, causing things to go wrong, or trying way too hard, which is SO VERY ME.

It's like watching myself but not being able to stop myself. Noooooooooo.

I don't watch Lost, mostly because I figure I'll just watch the whole series when they get Found. But from what you've written here, Charlie sounds like the new Gilligan.

I _do_ like Charlie, for those very reasons. Also because he's not Hollywood-looking.

I don't like Sawyer at all, which is causing a rift between me and my brother, the only fellow Lost-watcher in our house. He reckons Sawyer is cool, a necessary thorn in the flesh. I think he's annoying. (I know he's meant to be, but... I was still happy to see him fall in the mud last week.)

I'm still only halfway through Season 1, as I'm watching in Britain.

See, I don't like Sawyer, in that I wouldn't want to be stuck in a room with him, but I enjoy his part on the show. I appreciate the catalysticness of him, how he brings out the worst in people.

I have a confession to make. I don't like any of them, in fact, I don't like the show! I did at first, but, I realized that I can just read the plot synopses and not have to sit through the whole thing. I just find it kind of slow. I realize that makes me a bad person, but there you go...

I LOVE hearing synopses from my friends who watch i; they always make it sound so very exciting!

I don't dislike it, but it's more like a take-it-or-leave-it kind of feeling, like I have with most sitcoms.
