Hi. My name is Rachel, and I love Prison Break.

I understand that it's stretching the boundaries of logic so far that any day now I expect them to break and snap the writers to Antarctica. But I don't care. The intense, complicated plotting that Michael went through makes me laugh, and so does his look of complete disappointment and confusion every time something goes not exactly according to plan. Ha!

Also, Wentworth Miller is hot. As are his full-body tattoos.

I love that it's basically one season-long story arc, although I could do without the boring bits that take place outside the prison. And I love the complicated maneouvres that mean slimy, icky people we hate are now on the dream team. Plus, C-Note's line last week ("Can you dig it?") was the funniest thing I've heard all year.

So, of course, FOX is putting it on hiatus for six months. Considering that they also just cancelled Kitchen Confidential (without even showing us the Michael Vartan episode!) and cut Arrested Development down to 13 shows without renewal, I'm going to take a stand and say that they suck.

I was so bummed about not getting to see Michael Vartan speaking in a french accent. Yes I know KC sucks. Yes I know watching Anthony Bourdain on his travel shows is much more entertaining because he has retained the sarcasm and tenacity that was sorely lacking in the sit-com adaptation of his memoir. But... I still wanted it, darn it.

And I just started getting into Arrested Development. How dare they!

I am already annoyed at Fox about Arrested Development, and now that I've actually seen an episode Prison Break (and a big WORD on WM and the tattoos!), I'm very mad. Those jerks!

they are? i thought they were cancelling ad and kc so there would still be room for pb when ai comes back.

(you know, rereading that makes even me go o.O)

he and his tattoos were lovely indeed, but in the end my suspension of disbelief decided it wasn't worth the downloading. and then the computer died anyway.

I read an article last week that said they were looking at a creative way story-wise to explain the gap. Wouldn't surprise me if they get out before, and the show picks up months later as their pursuers find them, or something like that...

As for Arrested Development, as much as I LOVE that show, it wasn't really a surprise. For all of the "Fox only aired two episodes and pulled it" or "Fox moved it all over the place" This was a show that they actually did handle well. They let it stay on Sundays for two VERY low-rated seasons, and then gave it a better time slot on Mondays, where it just didn't happen. I guess it just wasn't paying the bills. At least we got 2 and a half years of comedy gold. Can't wait to watch the WHOLE series on DVD!

It's interesting that My Name Is Earl is doing very well, because we certainly wouldn't be getting a show like that if not for Arrested Development.
