Why am I so reluctant to go buy the damn air conditioner?

I know what kind I want to get, I've put aside the money, I WANT the cool air, I just...can't bring myself to go to the store. Each day I tell myself I'm going right after work, and each day I find another excuse to put it off.

That's me: brought to emotional crisis by an appliance.

It's a pain in the ass? I hate those places. I want to order appliances on the phone and have them just show up, like pizza.

That would be nice. Even nicer would be if they showed up the same evening as being ordered, like pizza.

Maybe that's the problem! You should cut me off from my supply of cool air, block the kitchen door when I come over. :D

Maybe next time you come over, we can play "3-legged race", and whoever is tied to you can just hail a cab and march you into Futureshop!

Small appliance places suck. I think it's because you are spending enough to make them pushy, but not enough to buy some respect.

This is why I am always happier just buying things over the internet, except for the whole "we only deliver when you're at work MWAHAHAHA" issue.

Perhaps it's just fatigue after work or sheer lack of inspiration to move and get it done.

You can do it. I don't have the money or the space in my house for an A/C unit. We have doors with screens wee can open as well as windows, and a fan. (I even bought a fan for my room.)

Go get that air conditioner! :)

I have many fans. Which is great if it's just me, because I can sit myself down right in front of the fan, but it's not so useful if there are other people over.

Still, I appreciate my fans, especially the one my mother shipped across the country for me when I first moved to Montreal in the middle of a heat wave and there were no fans left in any of the stores.
