My stomach is rebelling against something today. Considering the vast quantities of food I've been eating lately *cough*jarofpeanutbutterinonesitting*cough*, I can only assume it's angry at me for not yet feeding it the requisite five times the amount of sugar that it thinks it needs.

So basically I've been hungry ALL DAY today. I was hungry about 10 minutes after eating breakfast; I ate a snack at 10 which didn't even pretend to assuage the hunger; and for all I can tell I didn't eat lunch at all. All I can think about is food. Before lunch my stomach was growling so loudly people on the other side of the room were looking concerned. It's truly pathetic.

Gmajorette calls it a "Brigit Jones Moment"...

Too much of a good thing...actually too much of anything is a bad thing. THe thing to do, I guess, is figure out what complements that thing, or is the opposite of it.

So if, just to choose an example totally at random and based on nothing at all in real life, I were to eat, say, a family-sized bag of Sour Patch Kids... I should follow that up with a family-sized bag of pretzels?

Yeah, baby, yeah! Um, I don't know. If you want to bring your sugar levels down, the cheating slut way is to drink alcohol of some kind. (My uncle, a diabetic told me this). This may be a catch-all antidote for all kinds of food binges, since it absorbs our body's nutrients anyway.

It's all about eating a balanced diet, no?

Sugar / Fat / Caffeine / Salt

Hmm. Taste opposites not withstanding, what food properties are we dealing with?

( In all seriousness, a client told me how she'd been getting muscle twitches after eating a whole lot of bananas. I thought perhaps her calcium/potassium balance was out of whack, so I suggested drinking lots of milk or eating spinach or something to boost calcium levels. It worked.)

So, what's in peanut butter? Protien, salt, fat. What's the opposite of protien? Carbs I guess. Eat some crackers! Lots of them! I mean, when one normally eats peanut butter in small quantities, how does one eat it? Peanut butter sandwich? How about dry toast as an antidote?

Or you could just binge on green salads and water until your colon explodes, purging the offending matter.
