See, Destiny makes me cry. It is a very powerful song but it is such a lonely song to me. The whole "watching porn in my hotel dressing gown" bit seems so impersonal and lonely to me. What could be more isolated than watching porn alone in a hotel, which is, by its very nature totally devoid of personality.

It's one of my favourite songs though. Just not something I would want to involve in fornication.

What I find erotic is the desparate, longing that's conveyed in the lyrics. If Drama King and I are apart for any length of time, my need to have him close again is so intense I can feel it in my bones. It's painful, but at the same there's this delicious anticipation of how it will be when we're together again. That's the feeling Destiny evokes for me...the anticipation.
