I am falling victim to the office worker's disease - my right shoulder and arm are sore all the time these days from using the mouse, and my upper back and neck are wonky from staring at the computer. And when I use my laptop at home too long, my hand goes numb, I guess from resting on the edge of the case.
This sucks, you know? Now I feel like a drone, with my soon-to-be carpal tunnel, and my pathetically slumped shoulders. It's bad enough that I have a 9-5 job (actually, a 8-5 job), I don't want to look like it too. Then it's just a short step to being someone with no life outside the office, someone who says "TGIF" without any irony, someone who organizes staff potlucks!
