Weekend update

Blech. I am officially sick, as of 4:45pm on Saturday. I thought this might be coming, but I was hoping I could will the illness away. Sadly, no.

It's just a cold, and it's not even that bad, but I'm pretty whiny when I get sick these days, because it doesn't happen all that often. I'm not even really sick enough to stay home from work, at least not considering the masses of other people who aren't here (and haven't been here in ages). I'm just sick enough to moan and whimper in the hopes that people will feel sorry for me. Is it working yet?

So that was my weekend - I slept, and blew my nose, and tried to swallow through my swollen throat. I did manage to clean the kitchen and pick up my library books, though, and I made a seriously tasty spinach and mushroom frittata for dinner last night. Yum.

I really want this enormous, fancy, extratastic Freaks and Geeks DVD set. I just don't know if I can justify it, seeing as I could get the not-quite-as-enormous-or-full-of-extra set for much cheaper.

But I covet!

I was just reminded (by reading fabulous new LJer mystery_diva's first post) about our cheesy Friday night pick-up line:

"Hi, we're librarians. Wanna check us out?"

Get it? Get it? Oh, I know, it's terrible, and we didn't actually use it on anyone. But it entertained me no end. Plus, you never know, it might have worked - librarian fetishes seem to be quite the rage these days.
