Sunrise, sunset
Feb. 4th, 2003 09:03 amI had the most productive day yesterday: not only did I go to work, but I also went to the drug store on my lunch to buy more kleenex and various other sundries AND deposited cheques and ordered new cheques at the bank AND went to the gym (!) after work AND picked up books at the library AND vacuumed the apartment AND organized and took out the recycling AND washed the kitchen floor AND cooked real food for dinner. And if it hadn't been so windy that gravity no longer existed, I would have bought groceries as well. But don't worry, the whirlwind of activity is over now. I promise it'll never happen again.
On Sunday it actually warmed up a little, at least until the sun went down, so my roommate and I took a long meandering walk, the kind which involve looking in random stores, buying a few groceries, and eventually stopping somewhere for not-coffee. Our goal was to find a cute little independent coffee shop somewhere that we could eventually turn into "our" coffee shop, which we thought we had found, but after looking at the the signs and the merchandise we realized we'd been fooled -- it's just a little franchise, but still a franchise. Maybe next time. By the time we left, it was dark and cold, so the walk back involved much less wandering and much more whining. But I'm really looking forward to spring, when I can walk again, because I really miss it.
