Will Ferguson Canadian History for Dummies

I was a shameful excuse for a Canadian, and then I read this book and now I know all sorts of things about Canada's past that I did not know before. Plus Will Ferguson is funny, and always makes me laugh, even if he does quote himself too often. Also, Canadian history is not boring, and mocking Brian Mulroney is fun.

And that's all I read this week. Actually, no, I lie, because I've been reading this book for months now, and mostly this week I read other things which I'm only partway through, so next week I should have lots of things to talk about, including teenagers, sex and hobbits (although not together).

I really need to pay off my library fines so I can borrow that book again. I didn't have a chance to read it last time I took it out.

In my terribly humble and not-at-all intellectually-meek opinion (heh) I think Will Ferguson's best work is Why I hate Canadians. Just in case you were wondering.

Oooh, I should have read that before posting my CDN quiz! I probably culd have had some more obscure stuff in there.

I knew all the answers but I still filled in the poll in the hopes of winning some prizes for comedy. But I am now protesting the poll because I can't see the answers. Boooooo!
