Jump! For my love.

Zip.ca has helpfully provided me with Season 1 of 21 Jump Street, the first disc of which I watched last night.
It is so much worse than I remember. But in a completely good way, of course. Oh, the cheese. The lame slang, the hideous fashions.
My favourite part is how they don't even attempt to hide the fact that it's filmed in Vancouver, even though they very clearly state that it's supposed to be set in the States - in the first (second?) episode there's a chase scene set on the Skytrain platform, complete with a very clear shot of the sign that says "New Westminster", and the third episode is all about car theft, and includes many, many shots of BC license plates. Hee.
But, oh, baby-faced Johnny Depp! So wee. So cute.

Date: 2005-01-10 09:43 pm (UTC)EEE! We watched the first disc of 21 Jump Sreet: Season One on New Year's Day!
We were playing a silly game with the show. We would pause on a particularly dramatic expression (Ex. the young addict who appeared in the first couple of episodes as he lays on the hospital bed and receives the grand wisdom of young Johnny) and come up with different lines! Ah, good times!
