I am a massive lump of bruises and cuts. All of my klutz genes have risen to the forefront this past week, and I am walking into things, dropping things, hitting things.

I have bruises all around each knee and up the thigh from careening into various tables and desks. I broke a mug at home when it just slipped right out of my hand, and I flung my yogurt across the lunchroom as I was taking it out of the fridge. I've broken so many CD cases at work I feel like we should be taking out special insurance. I have a large bump on the top of my head from where I hit it on the fridge as I was putting away the groceries, and bruises on my arms from walking into the doorway instead of through, like normal people.

And then yesterday was the highlight, the main event, the headliner of my week of complete clumsiness: I managed to trip as I was stepping over a chain that was barely off the ground, flinging myself forward and flat on the pavement, bag flying over my head. I now have bruises all up my left side, a huge scrape on my right foot, another on my left knee, a very painful one on my left elbow, and the heel of my left hand is all mangled and scary-looking. I actually had to change my pants this morning because the first pair sat right on the lovely purple bruise on my hip, and it was wicked painful.

The worst part is, that wasn't even the grand finale. This morning I was talking to someone at the front desk, and as I turned to walk away, I slammed right into the bookcase, which not only hurt, but knocked me off balance, so then I fell against the table and now I have an attractive matching bruise on the opposite hip.

Well, at least I'm co-ordinated.

I think you should maybe stay in a seated position for at least the rest of the day :) Ow..you must be hurting. Actually....I think that library is a bit dangerous. I was attacked several times by the LP shelves...and it *couldn't* have been my own clumsiness...heh.

Sit down!

Ouch. But also hee. I'm sorry, but people falling over is just inherently amusing. And I speak as a klutz, so I know that people are laughing at me, too!

Is it... [scary Aunt Mabel voice]that time?[/Mabel] Because PMS = death by clumsiness, for me. For instance, today while brewing my handydandy PMS tea (YES HELLO IRONY, BITE ME) I had another incident of pouring the boiling water over my hand instead of into the cup. That was entertaining for everyone in the lunch room, I'm sure. :p

maybe you could order a padded full body suit and have it overnighted?

owie! poor thing! as a fellow klutz who has managed to trip over couches before, I can empathize with your pain.

Okay, seriously. Are you my long-lost twin or something? The klutziness you describe is all too familiar too me.

I know it hurts now, but in time your body's pain receptors will stop functioning. Soon the only pain you'll feel will the the sting of humiliation.

Come hang out with me and [livejournal.com profile] starfishchick this weekend. We can be klutzes together!

Ouch! Well, get well soon.

Maybe you can blame it on the stars, or something; I rolled on my ankle pretty badly last night, and I tend not to be (unduly) accident prone...
