Factoid of the Day: Accuradio thinks that Jon Bon Jovi wrote "I Don't Like Mondays". *boggle*

I think I might actually be well again! I'm still at work, which beats yesterday and Friday. I only had to blow my nose twice in the past hour, and my stomach no longer feels like it's plotting to secede from the rest of my body. I still have a wicked sore throat, but you can't have everything. I swear, it feels like I'm sick all the time these days - either sick, or recovering. I'm getting a little tired of this. I just want to be healthy! Or if I'm going to be sick, I'd like to be sick with computer access. *flails*

Also, I wish I liked to ride bikes. It seems like everyone is getting excited about pulling out their bikes for the summer, or getting new bikes. I'm too scared to ride in the city, though. No, really - I've had nightmares about getting caught in the streetcar tracks. I wouldn't mind getting into rollerblading, but they're too expensive for me to buy without knowing whether I'm going to use them. I bet the pathway along the Beaches would be great for blading.

Finally: Kirk Cameron wants YOU! (Warning - sound. And a wee flash Kirk.)

Am I good enough to go to heaven?

That Kirk Cameron thing is super-scary. Yikes!

And thanks for being the fifth person on my flist to talk about bicycles today. ;)

I have blades you can borrow if you like ... I'm afraid to wear them on the roads, and there's no good path near me.

OK... is there a JBJ cover of "I Don't Like Mondays", or something? Because... there should be.

Also, I too wish I liked to ride bikes. Correction: I like riding a bike when there's no traffic and if it's all slightly downhill. I hadn't ever thought about streetcar tracks before, but hey, thanks for that.

I also totally want to rollerblade, but urrrgh. Complicated! Expensive! Haunting memories of attempts to rollerskate as a child!

Maybe we could!

I got caught in streetcar tracks once. It was scary, painful (scraped up knees and feet, road burn on shoulder - not too bad, considering), expensive (had to replace the brake cables), and embarassing - I was on Adelaide and two jackass suits saw me fall and laughed at me. Idiots.

I was fine, though, and I still bike downtown all the time - you quickly learn to take streetcar tracks at an angle.

Grrrrrrr... jackasses!

Did you go running after them and beat them to death with your broken bike? I would totally have done that in my head.

I should have, but my ankle was a little banged up and I was late for work. I hope they stepped in dog poop later that week.

That "Way of the Master" site is terrifying. I did the quiz so that it could tell me that I was going to Hell. Will Hell be hosted by Kirk Cameron? My Hell would be.

Thank you for giving me nightmares.

Aw, I hope you feel 100% better soon.

I freaking hate bike riding...

...I always have. And, when I spent the summer in Niagara Falls at my Dad's house after university...I had to ride my bike to work every day...because the bus service in Niagara Falls is shitty. Ever try riding a bike down...or UP...Clifton Hill?? Yeah...DANGER! Especially at 6:30 in the morning when you're still pretty much asleep. I'm pretty proud that I never once fell of the stupid thing..but it confirmed my hatred for bike riding. And...I've never roller bladed and I probably never will. Scary! All I can picture is my knee caps scraping across the pavement as I fall to my death.
