I think Spinal Tap was actually written (or planned) and/or directed by someone other than Christopher Guest, and that's why it's not included in the set. But I'm not sure.

Yeah, it was directed by Rob Reiner. Although I think Guest was one of the writers.

I bought all three movies separately over the course of a month. I think that's even worse than the 3-pack (although I did notice that on Amazon, at least, the 3-pack wasn't any cheaper than the individual movies).

Good point - I was directed (I think) by Rob Reiner. So that makes sense.
