brain dump

Arrrgh, I have a fucking virus on my computer that keeps shutting me down. What I love is that all the solutions involve downloading something, but that requires, oh I don't know, NOT BEING SHUT DOWN! Stoopid technology.
Hmm, do I care that my paid account is expiring? Oh, probably. I'm a good person, I can support something I use.
We're having Olympic celebrations all day at work, with real olympic athletes, a live band and everything. Also, free Greek food.* The summer olympics aren't nearly as exciting as the winter olympics, what with the lack of sports with potential for dramatic crash and burn (cf. speed skating, my favourite recipe for disaster), but the men's gymnastics are kind of fun. Mostly I'm just glad Toronto lost its olympic bid, because that would be scary. (Wait, was that a Christmas carol from the Greek band? Go away!)
My periods are really light lately. I mean REALLY light. Which, yeah, not a problem in any way, but considering they're usually obnoxiously heavy, I'm slightly concerned. Not enough to do anything about it, because it's a good thing, but enough to have nagging worry in the back of my brain.
We have a very large number of apples languishing in the bottom of the fridge. They were part of our last two veggie box deliveries, but they're Red Delicious, which neither of us want to eat. So there they sit. The grand plan is to make applesauce tonight, but we'll see. That requires being upright, which is always difficult at the end of the week.
And there you have it: the contents of my brain at this exact moment. Minus any and all earworms, which are currently being drowned out by the Ford Pier CD that's playing, and the bizarre rendition of O Canada that is emanating from the atrium. Happy Friday, y'all.
*eep! scary thronging hordes of people attacking the free food! must...run...away! I think if I want spanikopita I'll just buy it for myself.
