It's early for most of you, and late for others, but I wish everyone a wonderful happy New Years, and most especially a brilliant 2004. I feel good about this one, kids.

Since I am home for the holidays, I am doing nothing more exciting than dinner out (Thai food, yum) and watching a few DVDs. No games, unlike last year and the marathon game playing until 4am.

I think I'm going to make a few resolutions - probably monthly, because that worked pretty well this year, but first let's see how I did in 2003.

1. Go to the gym. Check. I managed more than once, even. Now we'll just see if I can get back once I'm back in Toronto.

2. Dress better. Sort of. I have many new clothes, most of which actually fit me, some of which are even somewhat professional looking; however, they are still pretty boring. I think I may have resigned myself to being a boring dresser.

3. Be more social. Yes and no. I think I was probably more social this year - I definitely tried harder to see people. But I also decided that it's okay if sometimes I really just want to stay at home with my Buffy DVDs.

4. Vary what I eat at lunch. Nope. In fact, this went the opposite way. I bring pretty much the same thing every day, and when I buy lunch it's usually salad. I don't care, I'm happy.

5. Walk more. Check. I love to walk!

6. Find a new hobby. I guess that's a yes. I started doing yoga, although that's not really the type of hobby that I was intending. Still, it's a new interest.

7. See more movies. Check. Because when you normally only see 5 a year, pretty much anything is more.

8. Get over the stupid crush. Ha! No, actually, I think it might be going away.

9. Be more productive at work. Check, and then not so much. It goes in waves. I'm going to try to bring this one into the new year. One good thing, though: I'm no longer quite as scared of the shipping department. Go me!

10. Cook more. Done.

11. Be a nicer person. Sigh. I'm still trying to do this. I mean, it's easy to be nice when surrounded by wonderful people like you all, but the general public tries my patience.

12. Make some Christmas presents Done!

So that's 8 out of 12 at least. Not bad.
