Apparently I'm on an every 6 months schedule with the movie posting. Um, oops? I think I'm going to try to bring that down a little.
American Bellydancer: Very disappointing - I thought it was supposed to be a documentary about, well, bellydance in North America, but really it was about Miles Copland and his Bellydance Superstars tour group. Very promotional.
Casino Royale: This was fun - Daniel Craig makes an excellent Bond (although I've only seen one other Bond movie, I think, so what do I know?), and the spy bits were great. I have to say, though, that watching people play poker is possibly the most boring thing ever.
Children of Men: Really fantastic. I don't know what it says about me that I love this kind of dystopian story, but there you have it.
Control: The story of Ian Curtis from Joy Division. I knew nothing about the band or him before seeing the movie, and it was totally engrossing.
Dead Man: This was interesting for the first half hour or so - I enjoyed it visually - but then I got bored. Not really my thing.
Dreamgirls: What a fantastic version of the musical. Awesome.
The Fluffer: Oh, this was so very lame. I only made it through the first 40 minutes before giving up.
Footballers' Wives: Hey, I was sick, and it did a fantastic job of distracting me. The women's nails were all very scary, though.
For Your Consideration: Funny, as Christopher Guest movies always are, but didn't grab me in the same way.
FUBAR: Hee! Heeeeeee. (What, you want something more? It's a Canadian mockumentary about two metal fans. It's sweet, and it's funny, and it's over-the-top ridiculous.)
Grosse Pointe: The ultimate parody of 90210. I'm so sad it only lasted one season.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: Definitely my favourite so far. The only one that has really held up as a movie, not just a version of the book.
Hot Fuzz: I loved this. Loved! Weirdly, it reminded me of Life on Mars. So much fun, though.
Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day: I actually quite enjoyed this - it's a fizzy, frantic movie, not always entirely in keeping with the wonderful book, but it was very entertaining.
NewsRadio seasons 1 & 2: A classic! So much love.
Scrubs seasons 1 & 2: Why did I never watch this before? Totally fun.
Superbad: Yeah, I don't know. I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I might (although I did love Michael Cera). Maybe I'm suffering from an Apatow family overdose.
Sweeney Todd: As a musical, it was so-so (HBC really can't sing), but as a movie, it was fantastic. Johnny Depp was seriously awesome.
24-Hour Party People: Someone lent me this after I mentioned having just seen Control - Ian Curtis and Joy Division show up in this one too. I never really got into it, and it felt a bit uneven, but there were some amusing parts.
X-Men: The Last Stand: I...honestly remember nothing about this. I guess I must not have hated it?
