I have this old sundress that I wear around the house on the weekends during the summer - it's orangey-yellow, very loose, and has become extremely short (note: I'm not sure how this happened, because it's not the kind of fabric that generally shrinks, and I swear that at one point I used to wear this in public, so it can't possibly have always been this short, but it's ridiculously short and flippy to boot). It's excellent for lounging, keeping cool, and doing laundry, as long as I keep a good hold on it as I go down the stairs.
Which is all well and good, except that today, every time I went down to the laundry room this young guy was there, waiting for his laundry, or, later, waiting for a dryer. And this is when I could have used some circus training, because seriously, the contortions I had to put myself into in order to get myself down to the level of the machine, without my knickers showing, as he's sitting right behind me.
Holy bejeezus.
