1. I just took apart my DVD player and fixed it all by myself.
2. I once cried at a beer commercial.
3. After four years, the only thing personal decorating my desk at work is my McGill GSLIS travel mug and a spoon.
4. My first celebrity crush was on Kiefer Sutherland in The Lost Boys. Seeing that movie was also the first time that I lied about my age (in order to get into the movie).
5. I've gotten every job I've had an interview for. Although there are plenty of jobs that I've applied for and not been interviewed.
6. I lived at home until I was 25.
7. I used to cut my fingernails every week, but grow my thumbnails really long, because I didn't need short thumbnails to play the piano.
8. I still don't have a couch.
9. I went away to music camp when I was 12 (I think). The day before it was over I told my parents I was coming home and took the train down the island rather than wait to be picked up the next day. I don't entirely remember why I did this, but I think some of the older girls were teasing me about liking a boy. I'm pretty sure I didn't actually like him, but again, I don't actually remember. I also don't think I ever told my parents why I wanted to come home.
10. I have one tooth that looks like a fang.
11. The first thing the DHL guy who delivers to the music store said to me was "You look like that girl from the show about morticians". The second thing was "Chantal, right?"
12. I have 5 different kinds of vinegar in my cupboard.
13. I spent Christmas of grade 11 in England with my great-aunt and uncle, and also my cousin from Australia.
14. I had my learner's license 5 times before I got around to taking the road test.
15. One of the earliest memories is of having the measles or chicken pox, and jumping on the spare room bed, listening to the soundtrack from Hair while my mom sewed and the cat ate my lunch.
16. I have a hole in my underwear.
17. Two things I always have in the fridge are a Brita jug and capers.
18. I love Grease 2, even though it's a terrible movie.
19. I don't like chocolate chip cookies unless they have oatmeal in them.
20. The last thing I did before writing this was eat an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie.
