Favourite Colours, The Sadies: This is nothing like the kind of music I normally listen to, but for some reason it really resonated. They're a Toronto psychadelic country rock band that combine '70s style with '00s sensibility, or, as one article put it, "alt-country that's more alt than country".
Nouvelle Vague: Punk and New Wave classics (Guns of Brixton! Too Drunk to Fuck! Making Plans For Nigel!) sung in a cool, bossa nova, lounge style. Very fun, very funky.
One Highly Personal Writing Recommendation:
Groceries, Groceries Everywhere, But Not a Bite to Eat, Dancing Brave: This is totally me. I am constantly staring at the fridge full of food, unable to find anything to eat. And of course, there's the peanut butter.
