What's come over me, here it comes again
May. 12th, 2004 03:37 pmWhat is is about summer that always makes me feel like suddenly, I'm going to have hours and hours of free time every day?
Because I'm not - when you're in the real working world, summer (sadly) isn't any different than the rest of the year. And you know, the last time I actually had a summer off, I was 12. But every year about this time I start getting excited and make grandiose plans: I'm going to take yoga again! I'm going to clean out all the cupboards! I'm going to study German, and go swimming, and spend hours just walking around and sitting on restaurant patios!
Last year, right about now, I suddenly decided that my life was completely unencumbered, and started taking three dance classes and going to the gym three times a week. Where that came from, I don't know, but it's starting again, and the making of plans has begun.
Be wary, because this year, when I make plans, I intend to drag people along with me.
