Oh yeah, I'm hurting here.

You know that commercial where the guy comes home from running a marathon or something like that, and tries to join his girlfriend in the living room where she's being all supposedly seductive, but he can't actually move anymore? That's how I felt last night. When I stood up from the couch, I thought I was just going to fall down again, and the 10 steps to the kitchen were torture. And the sad thing is that I didn't run a marathon, or climb a mountain, or anything exciting like that. No, all I did was walk to the video store to return a video on Sunday, which took about an hour, what with going far far out of my way while trying to find an alternate route on the way there, and on the way back having to weave through babies and strollers and dogs and people who were watching the lamest parade ever. People, 5-year-olds on a truck bed yelling "Go Leafs Go" does not a float make.

Which would have been enough to make me hurt by itself, but then I went to the gym yesterday morning, and had a dance rehearsal last night. I am so not designed for activity. My body was made for sloth. That's why I have such a wide ass -- so I am fully stable while sitting. Or so I tell myself.

I just got the oddest piece of spam. It had the traditional e-mail address of 15 random letters and numbers, and the subject was "hey there", which was a nice change, don't you think? Anyway, I opened it accidentally as I was checking the rest of my mail, and all it said was "hi". That's it, that's the entire email.

So, now I'm wondering, what was the point of that? It's not selling anything, it's not promoting anything, just "hi". I think the spam people just lost me completely.
