About ten years ago I went to a very elaborate fancy dress party to which my friend Louise wore a long blonde wig. late into the night, everyone was trying the wig on, and when our friend Ronan donned it, everyone gasped, because he looked exactly like Joe Elliot of Def leppard, but no one wanted to insult him by telling him. Then he looked at his reflection in the mirror, turned around, and without missing a beat sang out "pour some sugar on me!"
That dreadful song was stuck in my head for ages afterwards, but at least I had amusing visuals to go with it....
