Fringe 3: Return of the Fringer

Three shows last night. The fast 30 minute walk between the last two venues was a very good thing, because my butt was getting numb.
The Curse of the Trickster
First off, let me just say that I love TJ Dawe. I have loved every show I've seen him do, I think he's brilliantly funny and an amazing performer, and no Fringe is complete without at least one thing in which he is involved. So even though this most recent show was not my favourite of his (bathroom humour just doesn't really do it for me, and I think the time for whining about cell phones has passed us by), he still is the King of the Fringe.
Sabotage: In Fine Form
It's like sketch comedy taken to the next level. Or, no, brilliantly created character sketches. Or, something so funny that even the performers couldn't keep a straight face sometimes. Whatever - it was very funny, somewhat remeniscent in style of Pinocchio (in the use of voices and physical agility to create wonderful characters), and definitely worth seeing. Get there early, though, because it's a flat venue, so I imagine it would be hard to see from the back, and then you might miss the wonderful horse bits at the beginning.
Catholic School Girls
Oh, look! Our first mediocre Fringe show. Nothing actively wrong here, it was just not particularly exciting. Also, I was really under the impression that I was going to be Catholic *high school* girls, not elementary school girls, which definitely changed the tenor of the show.
Trends so far:
Performers in pjs: 5
Discussions of/performances of bad rap: 3
Finger moustaches: 2
Today, we have planned for five. Eep!
