I walked the line this morning in the heavy rain, which must have been what was left of the terrible hurricane as it made its way up here. Therefore I was especially excited to get home and find tea (tea!) from bureinato. Thank you!

You know what? You, too, can make someone happy with tea! Which is my attempt at not being a complete nag when I remind you to send out your August/September tea packages (if you haven't done so already, of course).

Also happy things:

--free opera at the Harbourfront
--West Wing Season 2
--only having to do 16 hours of strike duty next week because it's Labour Day

In conclusion, I have decided to steal my friend C's condo. Maybe I could just swap apartments. She wouldn't notice, would she?

That's crazy. The best part, though, was that they managed to squish it into my mailbox, so I didn't even have to go to the post office. Yay!

There was a woman near us who got all huffy that people were talking (quietly) during the various speeches. Lady, it's an OUTDOOR FREE CONCERT. We're not even sitting in the tent! You really have to make allowances.

Actually, he was kind of off his game -- he announced the wrong piece twice, including one time introducing the composer to come up and say a few words and then standing there looking befuddled when nothing happened, and then he told a very bizarre story about butchers that...had nothing to do with either what was happening on stage or the punchline to the story.

You know, it seems worse because I sent my tea like a month ago and still have seen no evidence of tea in my mailbox. But the day it comes will be a glorious day and I'm very excited.
