(no subject)

I saw the cutest little ducklings this morning. There's a manufactured pond that I pass by on the way from the subway, and in the summer the ducks come by and hang out in their oasis in the middle of downtown. The people who maintain the pond even provide a ramp each year so that the duck families can get up onto the planters which are pockets of dry land.

And this morning, trailing around behind (I presume) a mommy duck, were two little fluffballs, the tiniest ducklings I've ever seen. The looked like the pompoms at the end of hat strings. So adorable.

I think Jin is doomed. DOOOOOMED. Because someone is probably going to disappear/die from the raft, and I don't think it'll be Sawyer or Walt, Sawyer because he's too tied into the social dynamics, and Walt because he's too tied into the island mystique. It could be Michael, I suppose, but Jin and Sun had that touching (okay, yes, I cried) reconciliation, which in my mind means he's doomed, because they'd be far too happy if he came back alive.

Which would make me incredibly sad, because I think Daniel Dae Kim is one of the best actors on the show, and I find his character to be intriguing. Also, he's HOT. Put him and Naveen Andrews together and I would watch them talk about, well, anything. Model trains, even. Not that I'm shallow or anything. What, me? Never.

As for raft speculation, I think they're going to find that they keep getting dragged back to the island, even when they think they're heading away from it. The island doesn't give up its people willingly! But who knows.

Fuzzies! I really must get out with my camera soon. I saw that the ramp had been put out next to the stream just down the road, so there must be ducklings around.

I absolutely agree.

Ducklings are so damn adorable....

Back in my days on the farm, we had ducks, and therefore ducklings in the spring. So..cute... When you pick them up, it's like there's nothing there. They're literally all fluff and weigh nothing. Sadly, kitties like ducklings too :(

Halfway through the wonderful reconciliation scene the boy and I were both like, "Dude, he's so dead." Also, Daniel Dae Kim is such a fabulous actor that I'm sure he has other things to pursue.

That boat ain't getting very far at all. Maybe there's an underwater stompy "security system" monster, too.

Yeah, I don't know either. Though it would be typical of J.J. to leave us in the dark (out to sea?) for months.

Also, that pond (and the DUCKLINGS!) was one of my favourite things about working at Metro.

Well, these guys are bigger than the ducklings you saw, but there were so many of them, and they were so bold, that I had to commemorate the occasion on film.

They're at that awkward age ;)
