I'm watching season 2 of Castle. This particular episode is crammed full of Hey! It's That Guy!s (Carlo Rota!)

It's a fun show! Kind of reminds me of Due South, in a way. The only real problem is that I think the actress who plays Beckett is pretty terrible. Mono-expressive. Sort of kills the banter and flirting a little. But I do love Nathan Fillion.

But did you see her in The Librarian with Noah Wyle?! (I think that's what it's called. And they made sequels, I have no idea which one she's in.)

I think she gets better. Haven't watched consistently, but

zoje_george showed me the latest episode because there's a very really totally awesome Fillion moment in there.

I didn't! I had no idea she was in that, and somehow never managed to see the pic, despite all the chatter in the librarian community. :)

It's not a very good movie, unless you're in the mood for a goofy movie that doesn't take itself too seriously. Which I was, so it was great. I looked it up, she's in The Librarian: Curse of the Judas Chalice so not the first one.

I like Stana Katic though, and agree with

starfishchick that Ryan and Esposito are great. It's all the character interactions that I like, same as with The Closer.

I really enjoy Castle - and I don't mind Stana Katic/Beckett. I do love Nathan Filion, though, and Ryan and Espisito are great.

I actually quite love Beckett, particularly since at the moment on Alibi (the channel that shows Castle here), Stana Katic does the "you're watching Alibi" ident, and she is nothing like Beckett. So she can act, even if only on one note.

I've read some interviews with her, she seems quite funny - but the way they write her on Castle I don't think it really comes through. (They are too busy setting up ways for Nathan Filion to be funny instead.)

I love the side detectives. They totally make the show.

I adore Nathan Fillion. Always have. He's very shiny. And he got many bonus points this year when he was asked in an interview who he thinks could play Castle in a movie version and he responded (totally seriously) that he'd like Elijah Wood to play him "for many reasons, the most important of which is he's a terrific actor and very charming." Of course, they'd have to cast a shorter woman as Beckett. But that's doable....

I watched that show until recently, but it got the axe when my screen time was reduced to practically zero after I returned to work.
Even Nathan Fillion can't save that show, as far as I was concerned. Even when they let him ham it up...

It's certainly not a good show, if you're in it for the detectiving. :D I just like the joking and Castle's family.
