It seems HIGHLY UNFAIR that the picture on my DVD player just..disappears on the very day when I'm home from work with a cold.

Have you wiggled all of the cords? my dvd cords always slip out and need to be wiggled back in...

there's always books, yes?

Yup, I wiggled the cords. I'm hoping I just need to replace the cords, since the DVDs are still playing (the sound is fine).

There are books, but I sometimes find it hard to concentrate when I'm sick. I think the print is too small. :)
