[livejournal.com profile] starfishchick pointed out that I have not yet publicly expressed my delight that Fringe is nigh, despite the fact that my head is full of excitement, so: EEEEEEEE! Fringe!

I've been reading the show listings on the website, but I'm waiting for the paper schedules to come out so that I can pull out the pens and do some serious circling and starring and crossing out. Hurrah!

(I have learned my lesson from last year, though, and I'm going to respect the heat, respect my energy levels, and not let myself get burned out, especially since I'll just be coming off spending a week with my parents (who are wonderful, but that's a week of making sure other people are happy, and I normally get to be pretty selfish). Restrained planning and "convincing" other people to see shows with me so that I can't back out -- it's the way to go!)

oh, totally. tiff sounds insane to me. and i mean, siff is big, longest running & best attended one in the states, but it is not at all industry. which i feel makes a huge difference.

So, just out of curiousity, and not out of ANY SELF-SERVING MOTIVES AT ALL, what's on your must-see list this year?

Aw, thanks! I will do my best to be fantastic and excellent. Chris Gibbs will be awesome, and the new Rumoli Brothers show should be really fun ("An Inconvenient Musical"). I Keep Dropping Shit should be really cute - I know a couple of the people involved, and I've seen some of their other stuff. It's not usually very theatrical, but it is very entertaining and endearing.

I am personally very excited for the show in the U of T pool. So excited that I can't remember what it's called. But still. Theatre in a pool!

I don't know if you are into improv, but if you are, I have a few friends with awesome improv shows. Uncalled For are a troupe from Montreal who are always HILARIOUS, and my costar Mark has another show in the Fringe too with his improv duo 10,000 to Flight.

Bash'd sounds fun too - it's a gay rap opera by the creators of Boygroove!

I will also be checking out Duel of Ages...it should be a lot of fun, and I feel guilty for skipping their fundraiser (my ex-boyfriend is in it, I think...).

I don't know how I will fit in 7 performances of my own, plus all the shows I want to see, but somehow...YAY FRINGE!!

The one in the pool is totally on my list, as is "Inconvenient Musical".

Hee, I saw the 'I keep droppin shit' and thought of you!! :)

I made a very quick list of stuff I want to see, that includes, of course, TJ and [livejournal.com profile] girldetective's things, plus, um, the angsty teen poetry one and about 15 others.
