Things:

-Someone sent me a virtual rose! You, mysterious person, are wonderful.

-Iceland keeps sending me e-mails. I think they want me to visit.

-The 4th (3rd?) annual single girls' Anti-Valentine's Day celebrations last night were fabulous. There was cleavage, there were tiaras, and of course many drinks, obnoxious conversation and very loud laughter. And then we all tottered home in the snow in our heels.

-I, apparently, want to be just like [livejournal.com profile] mystery_diva, because I also have tendinitis. I don't get an exciting support, though, because mine is in my foot. The annoying thing is that I can't wear any shoes that hit the back of my achilles tendon, because it's very painful. This, of course, includes all my boots. And of course last night and today we got much snowfall. The shoe thing is going to be a bitch. The disturbing thing is that my foot creaks when I flex it. SO WEIRD. But I can't stop doing it, and freaking myself out.

-My foot actually hurts even without shoes. Dammit.

-I feel like this has been a wasted work at week. Except that I have actually been working very hard and getting lots done, but somehow...it totally doesn't feel like it. It's not fair, you know? Where's my satisfaction?

-I am short on food of the edible kind at home (because I was laaaaazy this weekend and didn't go buy groceries), but I can't even think of what I want to buy. Plus there's all that snow. Is it still dinner if it's just veggie pate and dried cranberries? Separately, of course.

-You know what today needs? More tea.

What's with the injuries, dudes?

Best icon ever btw.

You don't have any boots that are kind of wide through the ankle and don't actually bug your Achilles tendon, eh? Boo! What the heck did you wear today? It's like a ski hill out there.

I just waited for the stupid St. Clair bus for half an hour. Today definitely needs more tea.

Ouch! Your poor foot!

Your anti-VD party sounds awesome! I want a tiara and to stumble home drunk in the snow.

I agree with you on the tea bit - and just as soon as this webconference is over, I'm going to go make some.

Copy Cat

How did you do that?? Has it been bugging you for a while, or did something just happen? Dude. It sucks that it's your foot. I mean, my wrist is annoying, but at least I don't have to walk on it. Man, why are we all so broken?

Oh, your poor foot! (Also, Iceland, cool! And WTF.)

Pate and dried cranberries is totally dinner. (And if you have crackers, even better!)

Jeez.

I have to think there's some kind of splint thing you could put on under the boots that would keep everything lined up so that they couldn't do that -- maybe you'd walk funny, but you're probably limping a little anyway, right?

Poor thing! I object.

Ouch. Poor foot. Maybe soaking them in warm water at the end of day would help? Also, I could totally go for some veggie pate and cranberries.

should we just all get together and have an invalid party? we can sit around with various limbs in buckets of ice while drinking martinis. I was doing ok until I just gave my arm a twist trying to fix the printer, and now it's all pain again :( Home to ice, I guess.

Happy Valentine's!

I get e-mails from Wales, you get them from Iceland! Between us, we'll soon have the world at our feet. Which would be great, apart from one of yours being sore with tendonitis. Perhaps we can have the world at our foot.

Seriously, ouch. I hope your foot gets better soon. And also that there's more satisfaction - and food! - tomorrow. If there's going to be snow, you should at least have satisfaction and food.

Well, you do pass at least one store on your way home... :)
