Tea Round-up!
It's August, and I think we all know what that means...all there is to do is complain non-stop about the weather. No, wait, it means it's time for a tea check-up.
So, tea exchange participants! Hopefully you were all good and braved the heatwaves to make your way to the post office, but if you have not received your tea, please tell me and I will send outnasty letters polite e-mails. You can also feel free to post if you juuuust sent your tea or are juuuuust about to, and in that way avoid my nagging. :)
Also, if you want to drop out, let me know and I will take you off the list, or if you want to join up, read the entry and fill out the poll here!
In conclusion, has anyone found anything that makes truly spectacular iced tea? After working my way through my collection I've fallen back on my old favourite of Vancouver Island blackberry (although I made a really nice one with something ginger), but I'm open to more suggestions.

Yes, but it's very, very bad for you. It involves strong black tea, canned peaches, a little peach syrup, and lots of rum. Somehow I don't think that's what you were asking for.

I received my package this week!
Iced tea - I have been playing around with mixing my fruit teas in creative combos for drinking - peach + blackberry, green + mango, etc. :) :) :)

I tried the Numi Desert Lime tea the other day and I imagine it would be really interesting iced.... it was tart and strong. It's made from dried limes, not just lime scented.

Of course there's also my Grandmother's method. Add ice cubes and Southern Comfort and/or peach schnapps.

Murchies black teas make pretty good iced - the key is to make it far too strong, cool it, and then add simple syrup to taste for the sweetness. Also, any fruit tea mixed half and half with that fruit's juice, is amazing - black tea with peach mixed with peach juice is my favourite (recipe provided by Silk Road). I haven't found a good green iced tea yet, but I have a powdered mix for green tea with mango that is pretty good, flavour combination wise.
Do you have the iced tea recipe pamphlet from Silk Road? I can copy mine for you... or get you one. It was only $1. :)

Also, I will add you back to the tea exchange, and I do enjoy the sour cherry as iced tea (although not as hot tea, oddly).

For iced tea these days, I'm quite liking one of the teas I got last time, President's Choice Moroccan-Style Mint Green Tea (that's a lot of words!)

My favourite iced tea is 3 bags of red zinger and 1 bag of generic black, mixed half and half with apple juice. I usually add a little lime juice, too!
