Launchcast has decided that I really want to listen to Styx's "Come Sail Away".

I would object, except that it's reminding me of Freaks & Geeks, so how can I complain?

Hee. Now I'm picturing Sam and whatsherface at the dance...

That was so funny. I know the song so well (fav band #2), and I kept thinking as he was walking her across the dance floor "Hurry up man, chorus is coming up..."

Oh, I know! I was cringing the first time I watched it, because I knew what would happen. Poor Sam.

..Launchcast suddenly decided that I wanted Elton John and shit at the end of the day. It was actually getting dumber and dumber as the day went on :)

Psychoanalyzing Launchcast

I've been finding that it seems to get more hit-and-mostly-miss the longer a session goes on. It seems to start up with stuff I've rated highly already (which actually can get boring, because yes, I did say I liked that, but I didn't say I needed to start every day with it!) and then slowly start experimenting and noodling around, like an increasingly drunk saxophonist.

And perhaps this is built into the software to avoid giving you a confusing day of really incongruous selections, but it seems like once it's on a "kick" it stays there, even if I'm using the ratings to argue with it. "No... seriously.. you need some G'N'R right now. I'm sure of it. Okay, not November Rain. But how about Don't Cry? How about Paradise City? How about Welcome to the Jungle? How about Sweet Child of-" and I've closed the window.

At least it's not Babe, right? Or Paradise Theater. (Bad bad memories of junior high dances with that one, eep.)

Once...at karaoke..

Is that supposed to be romantic? "Babe I'm leaving, I must be on my way, the time is drawing near. Babe I'm leaving, something something - I can't stay(?), but I'll be miiiiissing yooooouuuuu."

My favorite was the tone-deaf guy who tried to croon Journey's Open Arms in my ear. Ow! Ow, stop it!
