(no subject)

Loblaw's is going to kill me. Stupid overpriced groceries. Sadly, it appears to be the only place around here that sells my brand of soy milk. Also capers. Mmmm.

[livejournal.com profile] sallym, [livejournal.com profile] dramaqueen_23 and [livejournal.com profile] starfishchick are excellent hot tub companions.

I don't think it is possible for me to become tired of eating candy.

I was thiiiis close to being truly productive at work today, being defeated only by the distraction of updating my Amazon wishlist for no apparent reason.

Now I have sushi and you don't. Unless you do.

I don't have sushi, dammit!

But I did spend a large portion of the day continuing to play with my lj friendspage colours. Everyone in the "blue" category now has their own colour. And I suspect that you will agree with your colour. More than last time, anyway. :)

They even have capers at Yong's I think. So you really are only trapped into Loblaw's for stuff like soy milk and veggie burgers.

Yong's is good for cheap basic veggies and weird snack foods.

Man, we had frozen gnocchi from Bari's last night and it was AWESOME. I love our little stores.

I had sushi a few hours ago. Yum!

I had sushi on Friday...

(stumbles off in search of sushi[1])

[1] The only sushi place around here that delivers is Dr. Sushi... and we weren't too impressed by the quality*volume/price equation... I'll have to wait for a trip to Sushi Inn, methinks.

I'm glad to hear that it was good, at least. I've always wondered about the Loblaws sushi...

I haven't been to Sushi on Bloor in... well, probably less than a month. But it feels like longer! (We tried going last Saturday, but of course it was packed by the time we got there, and we had limited time...)

Thankfully, a friend of mine is coming in from Ottawa in a couple of weeks. That's always a good excuse to go out for sushi!

gah....overpriced groceries

[identity profile] mystery-diva.livejournal.com 2005-03-01 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
I totally understand! Though, at least your overpriced grocery store is huge and has a ton of variety. Mine, though conveniently located around the corner, is overpriced with hardly any variety. As much as I hated shopping at No Frills before, I do miss cheap vegetables.

Also....am I really the only person who doesn't like sushi?? What the hell is it with sushi?!? I managed to find a few things I don't dislike..like California rolls. But they still aren't yummy enough for me to crave them. Maybe it's my small town upbringing...but I don't see it. Now *Thai* food....Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I like a very very limited variety of sushi, but that's it. And I'll usually want to go out for a proper meal afterwards.

Oh green curry!! It's one of my true food loves :) Actually, I've learned that any kind of Thai curry chicken is like heroin for me....and if it also has peanut...Yummmmmmmmy. Damn...Thai food :)

That's my biggest complaint about this Loblaw's. I cannot wait for the weather to get better so that I can go to No Frills much more easily.

I don't have sushi, but I do have capers. So there. Mmmm, capers.

I am jealous of both your sushi and your ability to eat massive quantities of candy with no adverse effects!

Until I'm eating sushi one minute and feeling sick the next. Again.
