resolution update

Since it's April, I should look at how I did with my March resolution. These resolutions are a little bit redundant now that I'm making weekly goals, but I'm still dedicated to them.

So dedicated, in fact, that I didn't keep March at all. Ha! I was supposed to find 2 new active activities that I liked, which didn't even remotely happen. I still didn't get around to trying rock-climbing, and I bailed on signing up for a Pilates course. Whatever, there's plenty of time in the year to try something new. I'm thinking maybe swimming classes in the summer, when I'll really appreciate being in the water.

Oh, hey, look at that, I have a nice surprise for April - I vowed to practice bellydance for at least 15 minutes a day. Which was a weekly goal last week, and which I promised to do anyway after knowing that I'm going to be dancing in public. So either I'll be a triple threat resolution keeper, or I'll fail miserably three times.

Dude, if you take a swimming class I will totally take it with you. I *heart* swimming, although not the part with the being seen in a bathing suit.

oh I know!

How cute would I be in that whole loose-corset, chemise & bloomers ensemble? Crazy cute, that's how cute! But noooo.

I am serious about the swimming with you though if you'll have me - I used to love swimming and I have like 5 bathing suits which think I hate them. Which of course I do. But they don't need to know that, do they?

Well, my brief perusal of the Parks & Rec site had 3 levels of Adult classes that I could see - 1, 2, and, confusingly, 3. 1 was like "oh help I'm afraid of the water but I'm willing to learn". 3 was like "crazy mad racing swimmer person class". 2 would probably work for all of us. It just said you needed to be comfortable swimming for 15 metres on your back or your front - didn't even name strokes, so there should be enough review for you to pick up what you'd need.

Every year I say I'm going to take swimming... maybe this year I'll actually do it!

"fwish"?

You can probably shop for one at my house. ;)

What's Cher got to do, got to do with it?

Because I swam so much as a kid and went through at least a bathing suit every three months or so, I've always remained on a fairly frequent bathing suit purchasing schedule despite the fact that at this point, each one has been worn maybe once. Combine this with the fact that although I haven't managed to hold off on the purchasing, I am aware enough of my current non-swimming habits to never PACK a bathing suit when I go anywhere, and you have a girl with lots and lots of bathing suits. :)

I know a really good store for bathing suits at Bathurst and Lawrence.

If it's still there, I mean.

And I'm all about swimming. Not sure I need lessons, persay, but I'm all about swimming.
