Mmm, soggy vegetables

You know those times when you cook something that you've cooked successfully many times before, and it's just not right?

Oh I had one of those two weeks ago. For some reason (probably the sauce), my stir fry tasted like melted plastic smells. It had to go in the bin and I ate fish fingers instead. It was a verry sad evening. Sadder still, somehow Dave managed to eat his portion...which made me wonder whether he had taste buds or not. So yeah, the veggies weren't limp but they were all wrong all the same.

It was just...weird. The broccoli was undercooked and the yellow pepper was overcooked and the mushrooms were soggy and it was kind of tasteless.

But I ate it anyway.
