The problem was (and I think I've solved it now) that there was a hugeass customs charge on it, that supposedly I needed to pay on delivery. And there was no was to guarantee that if they delivered it to the shipping department here at work, I'd be around to pay the fee. And shipping wouldn't let me just leave a cheque. But I managed to pay the fee over the phone, and hopefully it's being delivered to work...sometime.

But yeah, I think I might just have to start having everything delivered here. The number of times I've had to make alternate arrangements is getting silly.
