My amazing disappearing roommate is off again, this time for three weeks working on a cruise ship, in what will no doubt go down in history as the fastest job ever - she auditioned for a group that provides musicians for cruise ships, hotels and casinos on Monday, they called her yesterday afternoon with a job, and she's flying out TODAY!! She's an emergency pianist!
So I get the apartment to myself for a while. Sadly, it's too cold to be naked.
In other news, I'm pretty sure the BPAL order that ate Toronto (my VISA bill is a scary place to be this month) is languishing at the border. This article is referring to Western Canada, but I have no doubt it's causing backlash over here as well. Although it could just be that the 90-odd imps (no, they are not all mine - I am now the local dealer) caused a bit of a breakdown at the perfume factory. Whatever the cause, though, they are not here, and I am sad.
We watched Thirteen on Tuesday. Oh, ouch. It's an excellent movie, and the performances are stellar, but so depressing! If I had had any inclination to have kids one day, that would have killed it right there. It's just, what do you do? What can you do? I had a really hard time sleeping that night, because I was worried for 13-year-old girls everywhere. I wish I could help in some way, become a youth counsellor or something, but I can't even talk to people my own age, let alone teenagers. Plus I'm sure they'd see me as the lamest of the lame.
Ok, now I'm really depressed again.

Thirteen was very depressing. I still can't figure out how the Mom could have really been that clueless.
